                      Warhammer Fantasy Tournament


                                                                       Basic Rules

- The event will follow all regular rules published in the 8th ed. WFB main rule book.
- All official Games Workshop FAQ and WD rules updates will be observed.
- All players are required to have sufficient printed copy(ies) of their army lists to hand to their opponent(s) during the event.
-No supplements will be used (like Storm of Magic)
-Forge World Chaos Dwarf Army List is allowed

- TSHFT has a "Zero Tolerance" policy to cheating and/or any behaviors that jeopardize the integrity of the hobby gaming.  Any player(s) found guilty of cheating or disruptive to other players will be expelled from the event (and barred from future ones) with no refund.

                                                                  Miniatures Rules

- This is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) event.
- Non GW models as well as scratch built models are both welcome and allowed in the tournament(s).  However, no proxy of model will be allowed in the event. For any players who are interested in playing a "Count as" army, please check with the TO of the event on Friday (Nov 9th, 2013) to make sure they are allowed.
- Painted miniatures are not required but highly recommended.  It is highly advised for those players who wish to compete for the top prizes to show up with a fully painted army.

Event Format
- Each player is expected to construct an army list that is 2500 points or less by the according Fantasy Army Book. No allies and supplements may be used. Special Characters are free to use. Each player must bring enough copies of their list for each of his/her opponents and one for the tournament to review and the beginning of the event.

- Players will participate in a 5 round, 2 day Tournament under a modified swiss pairing system. First round will be determined randomly (avoiding same club person if possible), further round will be matched based upon there total battle points, highest holder will be paired to the next highest, etc. 

-Terrain and any mysterious terrian will be mentioned in the tournament mission package, other wise the rules will not be used unless specified 

Missions

Mission will be a mix of modified standard missions. All missions will have secondary and tertiary objectives. A mission package will be given to players on the day of the event.

Examples of secondary objectives are table quarters and linebreaking

Scoring

The tournament consists of the following three criteria for scoring: Battle Points, Painting and Sportsmanship

Battle Points (100 max)

This reflects the player's performance in the tournament. Ther are 22 possible points per round, but only a maxium of 20 points will be awarded per game. Break down follows:

Painting Points (50 max)

This reflect the player's dedication to the hobby in the field of painting, conversions and/or crafting. A total of 50 points can be warded. A break down as follows:

40 Points to be scored by judges

Scenic Basing / VH Weathering
2 points awarded for each level % of completion for the player's army which are scenic based (or weathered if for vehicles).
Special: 2 points for painted objective/narrative display.  2 more points awarded for well presented display board (not just a folding tray, please)

Cohesive Scheme
2 points awarded for each level % of completion for the player's army which are painted with at least 3 colors and shares a coherent scheme. 
Special: 2 points for painted decal/markings.  2 more points awarded for extra themed doodads. 

Conversion
2 points awarded for each level % of completion for the player's army which are converted beyond simple weapon swapping. 
Special: 2 points for each large scale or complex model that is converted.

Technique
2 points awarded for each level % of completion for the player's army which had displayed advanced painting techniques.
Special: 2 points for each of the advanced painting technique displayed over majority of the army (NMM, lightning, blending, extreme details, well executed freehand works, etc.).

10 Points awarded by fellow participants

Each player will get one vote whether his is "Wow'ed" by his fellow participants army in terms of painting and modeling. Each "Wow" will be scored as 2 points. 

Sportsmanship Points (50 max)

This reflects the player's overall performance in our gentlemen "sport" of hobby gaming, whether verbose orc or a honorable dwarf. There is a total of 50 points to be awarded.

10 Points are scored by the Judges and/or Tournament Organizer

A player starts with 10 points and will receive deductions due to (but no limited to) the following: tardiness, excessive rule arguing, damage of property (hotel, event, staff and other participants), disrespect to others, etc.

40 Points are scored by fellow participants

A player starts with 40 points and is deduced by how many bad game votes they receive from their opponents.

One = No deduction
Two = -5
Three = -10
Four = -20
Five = -40
